After breakfast, we will begin an adventure through the virgin forest, accompanied by our local guide; we will hike into the deep forest: we will go through trails prepared from our very well preserved interpretative circuit. On the way, we will cross temporary watercourses called caños, through bridges in very good condition and we will witness the widest range of species of flora and fauna in a wild state. We will see a great variety of ornamental plants of incomparable beauty.
On the way to the Lost Cocha, we will identify species of fruit, forest and medicinal trees that support animal populations in the Amazon forests.
With luck, we will be able to see larger mammals such as the jaguar, the sachavaca and the huangana; rodents such as the giant otter, the ronsoco, the majaz and the armadillo; primates such as the howler monkey and the puffin; reptiles such as the iguana and the jergon; amphibians such as the toad and birds such as the guan, the partridge, the golden parakeet and the red, blue and yellow macaw.
Rivers leave behind wetland systems, lakes, oxbow lakes and meanders, such as the spectacular Cocha Perdida.
Wetlands play a very important ecological role, as they represent a substantial biological focus with endemic species. They are a refuge for mammals. These wetlands make up seventy percent of the area that Eco Amazonía Lodge protects and restores.
The presence of the aguaje is very important for the Amazonian ethnic groups. It is a plant of mystery. The aguaje is the mother of the forest or tree of life.
The aguajal shelters jealous guardians such as the feline jaguar considered the son of the aguajal, the anaconda, the largest snake in the world, the owl that sees everything from its abode at the top of its crown to give relief to all evils, and the black caiman guardian who punishes anyone who dares to tear down the female aguajes.
Once in the Lost Lake, we will ascend to a huge observation platform. From this viewpoint, you will appreciate the enormous surface that covers this magical place where you can see two types of aguajales: dense and mixed.
Then we will take a pleasant walk around the Lost Lake and if we are lucky, we will be able to see the "giant otter" Pteronurabrasiliensis, the largest of its kind and one of the most impressive animals in the Amazon.
Back at the lodge, you will enjoy a delicious lunch

Back at the lodge, you will be able to enjoy an exquisite farewell dinner.
After a refreshing night's rest, the powerful vocalizations produced by the howler monkey's vocal apparatus, whose sound is amplified mainly by its hyoid bone, warn the visitor that he is in his domain and that the time has come to leave.
