Wonderful Classic Circuit: Lima, Arequipa, Puno and Cusco in 10 days

Day 1: LIMA

Flight to Lima.

Welcome, reception and transfer to the select hotel.

Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: LIMA - AREQUIPA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport to take the flight to Arequipa.

Upon arrival at the Arequipa airport, we will be received and transferred to the hotel. As an option of the day, we can enjoy the beautiful streets, the fantastic Plaza de Armas and the Museums of the White City of Arequipa. Being possible to take the Excursion of the Arequipeña Countryside that is described below.

Our excursion begins with the pickup of our tourists at their respective hotels, then we will drive our mobility to the outskirts of the city of Arequipa where we will first visit the beautiful Mirador de Sachaca, which will offer us a beautiful natural panorama of Arequipa and its volcanoes (Volcan Misti). Then we will drive our vehicle to the Mission of the Founder, a beautiful construction from the colonial era where the founder of the city of Arequipa, García Manuel de Carvajal lived in the 15th century.

Finally, we will travel through a spectacular Andean landscape and we will reach the Molino de Sabandia, an impressive construction based on volcanic rock known as sillar, where you can see an old stone mill that was built in the year 1,785 where we will return to the city of Arequipa ending our excursion.

Day 3: AREQUIPA - CHIVAY (LA CALERA AND CHIVAY THERMAL BATHS)

06:00 am. approx. We will pick you up at your hotel to take our bus and leave the city of Arequipa towards Chivay. On the way, we will increase the height, so that we will make stops as an acclimatization. One of them is Pampa Cañahuas, a reserve where you can see alpacas and vicuñas. Afterwards, we will make a short stop in Patahuasi, from where we will continue to a place called Tacra, where we will have the possibility of observing the flora and fauna of the region.

The tour continues with a visit to Patapampa, the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is located at 4800 m altitude. After this, we will continue to the city of Chivay, where we can have lunch and settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon, we can visit the La Calera hot springs to relax and be free for dinner in the same city of Chivay. After this, we will go to rest for the next day.

Day 4: COLCA CANYON - PUNO

06:00 am. Approx. We will get up early to take advantage of the hotel breakfast and then we will take our vehicle to visit the Cruz del Cóndor. In this place, we can go and visit the viewpoint where you can see some condors in flight. In addition, we will make stops in some towns such as Yanque and Maca, where we will have access to local squares and some handicrafts. After this, we will return to Chivay for lunch and then we will continue our trip to Puno with a tourist bus, which makes small excursions along the route until we reach Puno.

Day 5: PUNO: FULL DAY LAKE TITICACA (UROS & TAQUILLE ISLANDS)

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to go on a transport to the pier or main port. Around 7:00 am, we start the departure towards the floating islands of the Uros, currently considered the Lake Titicaca National Reserve. Also known as the highest navigable lake in the world. During the trip, you will be able to observe a beautiful panoramic view, landscape. Our specialized guide will introduce you to the existence of the Uros floating islands.

Today the Uros people still maintain their own culture and tradition, as well as artisanal fishing, especially from (CARACHI) and silverside. When the fishing is abundant, they conserve the fish drying them in the sun. They are also engaged in hunting wild birds and collecting duck eggs. There are 75 islands that currently live, and each island is well organized, after a long and beautiful visit, you will say goodbye to the Uros. Our next visit will be the natural island of Taquile.

Natural island of Taquile.- To get to our next visit, we will sail by boat for 2 and a half hours, to the natural Island of Taquile, during navigation you will be able to observe the chain of mountains (the Cordillera Real), not only that, the Taquile people very collaborative and well organized. It is the reason that the Taquileños have demonstrated their high degree of progress in textiles, receiving their award from UNESCO. It should be noted that spinning and weaving are mainly made by men, starting at the age of eight, and women exclusively make yarn and knitting.

The visit will take an average of 2 hours, and 1 hour will have to taste a delicious typical lunch, if you really want to be part of this community, you can voluntarily collaborate by buying some of their crafts. So that this community has some means of sustainability, that way they can continue to show their existence to future travelers. Finally, our guide will inform you of the return time, arriving at 17:00 pm. to the city of Puno.

Day 6: PUNO - CUSCO “La Ruta Del Sol”

At 06:15 am, they will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the bus station in the Puno bus terminal, bound for Cusco.

The so-called Ruta del Sol in Peru represents a magical journey that takes place from Puno to Cusco or from Cuzco to Puno. That is, from the north of the country to the south, Cuzco being the place where the adventure begins, while it is right there where millions of tourists from all over the world are lucky enough to meet Machu Picchu.

Even so, there are also those who decide to travel in an inverted way, from Puno to Cusco as it was in our case. The important thing is that through the Sun Route, different and beautiful bus destinations are known such as Raqchi or Pukara; places where the ancient tradition that Peru lived before the discovery of America is still alive.

Day 7: CUSCO: CITY TOUR + 4 NEARBY RUINS

City tour in Cusco 13:00 - 13:30.

The City Tour in the city of Cusco will allow you to know the most impressive archaeological and religious tourist places in the cosmopolitan city of Cusco, Peru.

This unmissable tour for all visitors is made daily from 1:00 p.m. starting with the Cathedral Basilica of the city of Cusco, one of the most notable colonial monuments in America, Qoricancha or Coricancha known as the Temple of the Sun and visit archaeological centers outside the city such as Sacsayhuaman a megalithic construction, Qenko considered as an underground chamber where mummifications were made, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, important archaeological centers of a religious nature of the Inca culture.

After a little culture at the end of the tour, why not enjoy the beautiful city, move your body a little and enjoy all the bars and clubs that our beautiful city offers.

Day 8: CUSCO: SACRED VALLEY AND TRAIN TO MACHUPICCHU TOWN

We will pick you up from your respective hotel between 08:00 am and 08:15 am to start the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, during the day, we will visit the beautiful archaeological centers of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, you will have the buffet lunch included in Urubamba.

The tour of the Sacred Valley ends for you after visiting the Ollantaytambo archaeological site at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Then you will go to the train station in Ollantaytambo, which is an 8-minute walk away, our guide to the Sacred Valley will guide you, it is easy to get there.

You must board your train at 4:15 p.m. at the latest, after a 1:45 p.m. trip you will arrive in Aguas Calientes where our transfer will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel, in this very moment our guide will contact you to coordinate your next visit day.

Day 9: EXCURSION OF MACHUPICCHU

Continuing our tour at 5:30 a.m. After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you will board the (Consetur) bus that will transport you to Machu Picchu, to start the guided tour.

The visit lasts 2:30 hours in a group of 15 passengers dividing us (Spanish or English) and then at the end you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu by yourself, you can walk to the Portada del Sol, walk to the Inca Bridge or optionally whenever have the purchased income you can ascend to the mountain of Huayna Picchu Mountain - Top of Machu Picchu.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., you must take the bus that will return you to Aguas Calientes to board 30 minutes before the train departure time indicated on your ticket.

At the final station, our transfer awaits your arrival to take you to Cusco, finishing 2 blocks from the central plaza.
